Policies and Procedures

It is the policy of InTech Collegiate High School, that no person shall, on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, age or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. General School Policies Overview

Cheating and Plagiarism Don't do it. No credit for work, repeated offenses loss of course credit

Inappropriate Language (including harassment and intimidation) Not tolerated. Office referral to call parent and fill out 5W's form.
Suspension and/or school service.
Personal Electronic Devices (cell phones, iPods, Gameboys, etc.) Not allowed in school. Store in locker if you have during school or school-sponsored activity. Device is forfeited to the school for 1 week (5 school days) and must be picked up by a parent.
Lunch Money and other payments Will be collected at the main office Will be recorded and receipted
Public Affection Holding hands ok. Kissing and petting not okay. Conference with parents.
Skateboards and Rollerblades Not in building. No grinding curbs, rails, etc. on campus Item is forfeited to the school. Length of time determined by offense.
Law Breaking (tobacco use, vandalism, drugs, threats/harassment, fighting/assault, theft, etc.) Not tolerated. Office referral, parent conference, possible suspension to expulsion for repeated offenses. Referral to North Logan Police Department.
Dress Code Modesty, safety, and hygiene Office referral. Suspension for repeated offenses.
Hazing/Initiations Not tolerated. Referral to principal up to suspension
Sexual Harassment Not tolerated. Includes words, pictures, gestures, leering or staring, jokes, unwelcome touch, and spreading of sexual rumors. Investigation. Discipline that could include suspension or expulsion.
Student Discipline Policies are to be enforced by all staff. Chronic discipline problems that have not been solved through prior corrective measures may result in suspension or expulsion.
Computer and Internet Acceptable Use Policy Students must have signed agreement on file in office to use computer and internet in school. Inappropriate use of computers will result in computer use privileges taken away, personal computer forfeited to school, failure in citizenship, suspension, etc.
Student Protests, Demonstrations, and Strikes Use appropriate channels of communication to submit opinions or complaints

Disruption of the routines and daily schedule of school will result in reduction of citizenship grades. Loss of honors, awards, and scholarships possible.

Weapons in School Includes any item that can be mistaken for or considered a weapon or dangerous. Not allowed on school campus. Arrest by North Logan police.
Visitors to the School All visitors, including parents and guest speakers, are required to check in at the office Student visitors are expected to be in uniform, check in at the office, and are subject to approval by the office to stay the day
Tardies Students are expected to be in their seats when the tardy bell rings.

1st and 2nd: Teacher warning
3rd: Sent to office to call home, drop in citizenship grade each time hereafter.
4th: Suspended for the rest of the day
5th: Suspended for the rest of the day and the next day.
