Christina Sias was raised in Portland, OR where she spent her childhood and teenage years playing the viola in various local symphonies. It was with this experience that she learned to value both the arts and the power of a great teacher, and set her sights on teaching high school English.
After four years of working on an English degree at Portland State University focusing on N. European and Native American mythos (and making ends meet by working at See's Candies), Christina was accepted to the school of her dreams: Lewis & Clark College, where she finally was able to put all of her teaching theory into practice and earned her M.A. In Teaching at 23.
After a brief adventure in southern Idaho (where she taught English & Drama, helped fight for public schools, was given the I.E.A.'s teacher spotlight, and learned the finer points of rodeo & horn hunting), Christina is getting married and is happy to continue teaching & learning at InTech. She lives with her husband, Damon, and their welsh corgi, Muffin.
